Online Counseling
Sometimes it is not possible to meet face to face. Therapist are able to offer online counseling in the State of Florida using a HIPPA compliant tele-health system. Every state has its own Mental Health Licensing Board. It is unlawful to practice therapy in a state in which you do not hold a license. Coaching is different profession, at this time there is no licensing board, only a certification process. Counseling requires a graduate degree, pass a licensing exam, hours of supervision and client contact, before a license is issued. Continuing education is required to maintain a mental health license. Coaching is a certificate in which the coach is not trained to treat or diagnosis mental disorders. Coach's can move an individual forward, but are not trained to go into the past wounds and help an individual heal.
